Dr. Anant Kumar is a renowned urologist and kidney transplant surgeon with more than 35 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching and research. He currently serves as Chairman of Uro-Oncology, Robotic & Kidney Transplantation at Max Healthcare, with practice at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi, and Max Hospital, Vaishali.

Previously, he served as Professor and Head of Urology & Kidney Transplantation at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow. He has also held senior leadership positions at Fortis Hospitals and Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi NCR and worked as a Consultant Urologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK.

Dr. Kumar has extensive experience in kidney transplantation and has performed thousands of transplant procedures, including laparoscopic donor nephrectomies. His surgical expertise also encompasses robotic-assisted urological surgery, laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, cystectomy, partial nephrectomy, reconstructive urology and complex endourological procedures.

He has a special interest in uro-oncology, renovascular hypertension, urethral stricture surgery and laser treatment for prostate disorders. His academic contributions include more than 180 research papers in national and international journals, along with book chapters and invited reviews.
