Dr. Balbir Singh is Chairman of Cardiology, Pan Max, where he oversees the development of cardiology services, clinical governance, quality, physician recruitment, research and training, including the DNB Cardiology program across Max hospitals.

He joined Max Healthcare in November 2019 after serving as Chairman of Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology at Medanta – The Medicity from 2009 to 2019. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at Apollo Hospital, Fortis Heart Institute & Research Centre, Batra Hospital and AIIMS.

He completed his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, followed by DM in Cardiology from Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital, New Delhi. He also completed a fellowship with the American College of Cardiology in the USA.

Dr. Singh has received several national and international recognitions, including the Padma Shri Award in 2007, and has contributed extensively to cardiology through clinical practice, education, research and professional leadership.
