About Doctor
Dr. Col. V. Hariharan has more than three decades of experience in cardiology and has served at several leading medical institutions, including AIIMS, New Delhi, Military Hospital (Cardiothoracic Centre), Pune, Army Hospital, Delhi Cantt, Batra Hospital and Research Centre, and Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi.
He served as a Medical Specialist in various Army hospitals and completed his senior residency in Cardiology at AIIMS from 1984 to 1986. He subsequently worked as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Military Hospital (Cardiothoracic Centre), Pune, where he was actively involved in non-invasive and invasive cardiology. He also served as a postgraduate teacher for MD (Medicine) and DM Cardiology students associated with Pune University and trained postgraduate students of the Armed Forces Medical College.
Dr. Hariharan joined Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals as a Senior Consultant Cardiologist in January 1996, where he has continued to provide specialized cardiac care. His professional experience also includes serving as an honorary consultant to organizations such as the Airport Authority of India and Indian Airlines, as well as advisory and consultancy roles with HCL and ONGC Hospital, Dehradun.
He has contributed to cardiology research through papers published and presented at national and international conferences. His clinical interests include drug-eluting stents, transradial coronary interventions and balloon valvuloplasty.
