Dr. Giri Raj Bora completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from the University of Rajasthan, followed by advanced training in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgery. He completed his MCh in Gastrointestinal Surgery from G.B. Pant Hospital, New Delhi, after senior residency training in GI Surgery at SGPGIMS, Lucknow.

Dr. Bora joined Artemis Hospital in 2016 and has played an important role in developing its liver transplant and minimally invasive HPB surgery services. His clinical experience includes living-donor and deceased-donor liver transplantation, complex liver and biliary surgery, and advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures.

He has contributed to the development of liver transplantation in Rajasthan and has been involved in complex transplant procedures using specialised grafts, including right posterior and monosegment liver grafts. His department also provides advanced treatment for diseases of the liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts, including complex benign and malignant conditions.

Dr. Bora has presented his work at international forums, including International Liver Transplant Society meetings, and has received recognition including the Young Investigator Award at ILTS Sydney in 2013 and the Travel Award at ILTS San Francisco in 2012.
