Dr. Vivek Vij is a senior liver transplant surgeon and Chairman of Liver Transplant & Hepatobiliary Sciences at Fortis Group of Hospitals. With more than 25 years of surgical expertise, he has developed significant experience in living-donor liver transplantation and complex hepatobiliary procedures. His academic and research work includes more than 50 national and international publications and presentations, with research focusing on living-donor transplantation and the medical management of liver disease.

He was selected from India for the Roche Preceptorship Training Program at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA, in 2005. He has also been actively involved in surgical education and fellowship training, mentoring more than 50 fellows and healthcare professionals.

Dr. Vij has received several national and international recognitions for his contributions to liver transplantation, including a special award from the International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS) in Chicago in 2015. His areas of expertise include living-donor liver transplantation, liver surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and transplant-related care.
